You’ve chosen to become a REALTOR®, and commit to being a professional through building on KCAR’s unique local offerings. KCAR Members share a partnership with the Delaware Association of REALTORS® (the state industry association) and the National Association of REALTORS®.
This means that as part of your membership NAR and DAR work on your behalf to ensure our industry’s laws and regulations benefit you (the REALTOR®), the consumer and support property ownership.

KCAR provides its members with diverse opportunities for professional growth through educational programs. Members are given ample chances to fulfill their educational requirements as mandated by the Delaware Real Estate Commission. KCAR takes great pride in covering the expenses of in-house continuing education courses as part of the annual membership dues, guaranteeing that our members can stay up-to-date without incurring any extra expenses.
Communication
KCAR utilizes various approaches to communicate information to its Members. In addition to organizing General Membership meetings, KCAR guarantees that our members are well-informed by circulating a Weekly Newsletter to provide update on Membership matters.
Networking
KCAR arranges multiple networking events for our Affiliates and fellow REALTORS® to cultivate connections and enhance the advancement of professional expertise and growth, especially for our Young Professionals.
Professional Standards
KCAR proficiently manages and assesses ethics grievances filed by both members and the general public. Moreover, KCAR offers REALTORS® the chance to participate in Arbitration and Mediation sessions, empowering them to efficiently settle any commercial conflicts they may come across.
National and Statewide Forms
Members are granted access to all state-approved forms from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the Delaware Association of REALTORS® (DAR).

Organized Community Service Activities
KCAR takes great pride in its esteemed reputation for actively contributing to the communities it serves. By means of the Social Committee and the Scholarship Awards Committee, KCAR members are privileged to engage in meaningful service to various groups and organizations within our community.
Recognition Awards
Outstanding individuals within KCAR are recognized through a nomination procedure conducted by their fellow members. The Installation and Awards banquet, attended by esteemed leaders from across the state and elected officials, serves as the annual platform for presenting these accolades.
After obtaining your real estate license from the Delaware Real Estate Commission, the next step is to decide the type of KCAR Member you aspire to be.
Membership Packets
Please complete the relevant Membership Package and once finished, (signed by the applicant and Broker on all required pages), kindly send the entire signed package to info@kcar.org. Please be aware that the processing time is 3-5 business days.

LockBox Only Access Application
As a non-KCAR member, although you may have reciprocal access to Kent County lockboxes, you do not have shackle removal permissions or placing a Kent County box at one of your listings.
If you would like these permissions for Kent County lockboxes, then the Lockbox Only Access is the option to choose.
IMPORTANT – Your Broker must be a KCAR Member

Initial Fees -Depending on what month you join KCAR, the Recurring Annual Fee will be pro-rated.
As a KCAR Member you have will acquire Sentrilock reciprocal access (limited to opening only, no shackle removal) to the following automatic reciprocal access to:
- Cecil County Board of REALTORS® (CCBOR)
- Newcastle County Board of REALTORS® (NCCBOR)
To obtain access to these counties, you must complete their reciprocal forms:
- Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® (MSBR)
Serving Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot Counties in the state of Maryland
- Coastal REALTORS® (CAR) –
Serving Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties in the state of Maryland
- Sussex County Association of REALTORS® (SCAOR) –
Serving Sussex County in the state of Delaware
- Bay Area Association of REALTORS® (BAAR) –
Serving Kent, Queen Anne's, and Caroline counties in the state of Maryland
- REALTORS® Association of York & Adams Counties, Inc (RAYAC) –
Serving York and Adams Counties in the state of Pennsylvania
